PLANT & LAND
The Sequoia World project biologist is actively preparing the seedlings for a period of vigorous growth. They are now strengthening their roots in optimal conditions for life. The first 1,000 seedlings are called Alpha Generation. Similarly named the first NFT collection Sequoia Alpha Generation NFTs.
With enough community support for our project, we will be able to take two shoots every two years from already grown seedlings and plant more and more Sequoias. Of course, world events (wars, earthquakes, wildfires, hurricanes, etc.) are critical in planting Sequoias. Sequoia planting will only occur if there are no threats to the seedlings.
The first batch of Sequoia seedlings will be planted in the ground in April 2023. They will need time to strengthen their roots and adapt to the environmental climate. You can see the seedlings in the photos below. They are first germinated in special seeding cassettes, then transplanted into pots. And in April 2023 they will be in the soil.
The Land in Albota de Sus
To ensure the Sequoia seedlings' growth, the Sequoia World team prepared 50 hectares of land in Albota de Sus, Moldova. The area of the plot corresponds to the size of 72 soccer fields. A place of 20x20 meters (400m2) is necessary for the optimal growth of the Sequoia tree.
